The gist: Beautiful, vibrant, and colorful. This book is bright, glossy, and slightly extravagant. Miles Redd, an Atlanta-born, New York-based interior designer who has worked for John Roselli, Bunny Williams, and in 2003 became the Creative Director of Oscar de la Renta Home, provides a quick introduction. Apart from a brief introduction, there is no commentary from Redd, merely colorful photos and a few statements from notable people.

The quotes aren't all about design; there's one from Willy Wonka, one from Karl Lagerfeld, and one from just about everyone in between. Truly, you never know what you're looking at on the page; it's like being in a strange home design dream. Redd characterizes his unique style as "cozy glamour," which is correct. While his rooms are opulent, flashy, and bright, they are also comfy; I wouldn't mind spending an hour reclining in any of his designs.
