Van Gogh and Britain, published in conjunction with the Tate Britain exhibition of the same name, examines the influence of British art and culture on Van Gogh's practice, as well as the impact of his work on a variety of British artists, including Francis Bacon, David Bomberg, and the Camden Town Group.

The book is typeset in DTL Haarlemmer, a typeface produced by Jan van Krimpen for use in the Dutch Staten Bijbel in 1938 - an oblique reference to the years Van Gogh spent studying to become a priest. Titles on the cover and throughout are set in a modern re-drawing of a Clarendon typeface, which we further tweaked to highlight its existing optical quirks. The color choice for the covers and endpapers is inspired by the autumnal tones found in Van Gogh's paintings. Inside, a double margin-width approach gives for greater flexibility and variety in the positioning of images and text.
