Eileen Gray (1878–1966), an Irish-born designer, is renowned today for being a founder of both Art Deco and Modernism. She created cutting-edge ideas for furniture, lighting, carpets, interiors, and architecture during the course of her 80-year career. Much less widely known is the fact that she continued to create little paintings and drawings during her entire career as an architect and designer. The important but largely personal painting of Eileen Gray is the subject of this book, which is the first to do so.
