The famous biography of one of the greatest painters in England.

Originally released in 1988 as WHAT A GO - Alfred Munnings' Life, the 2000 edition added significant new information and touched on Munnings' first wife's terrible suicide. It added a new chapter about Castle House in Dedham, where Munnings lived from 1919 until his death in 1959 and is now home to The Alfred Munnings Art Museum.

Munnings purchased Castle House in Dedham 100 years ago, calling it "the house of my dreams." This excellent biography by Jean Goodman, which has been out of print for a while, is being republished in part to honor the 100th anniversary of Castle House and the accomplishments of the Munnings Art gallery and Museum.
