Ivon Hitchens was born in 1893. He spent several years living and working in West Sussex, where the English countryside served as a major source of inspiration. This book, which was edited by Alan Bowness and with an introduction by T. G. Rosenthal, follows the development of Hitchens' art from the 1920s until 1973, the year he turned 80, with the added benefit of information that the artist voluntarily contributed to the authors. With a lightly nicked dust jacket, very good.
